A valid hunting license and a game bird stamp are required for all game bird hunting on public and private lands in Hawaiʻi.

Conservation stamp winner, Alvin Galvez featured an endangered land snail found only on Oʻahu in his design. Game Bird stamp winner, Lauren Trangmar featured the chestnut-bellied sandgrouse, a popular game bird native to Africa and Asia and brought to Hawaiʻi in the 1960s in her design.
