After almost three months apart, family members of residents at the Hale Makua Health Services campus in Wailuku were treated to a drive through parade complete with decorated cars, firefighters, food, music and dancing.

Hale Makua Health Services announced today that it will be limited visitors starting Monday, March 16, 2020 to both Hale Makua Kahului (472 Kaulana Street) and Hale Makua Wailuku (1540 Lower Main Street). 

Hale Makua Kahului has been recognized by the American Health Care Association’s 2017 Quality Initiative Recognition Program.

Hale Makua Health Services’ annual fundraiser, Kokua for Kupuna, raised a record-breaking $175,963 to help provide healthcare services for the frail and elderly on Maui.

Tony Krieg, CEO of Hale Makua Health Services for the past three decades, will retire on Oct. 31, 2016.

Bachelor’s and master’s degree opportunities available on Maui will be discussed at a presentation hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi Center at Hale Makua Wailuku on Monday, March 14, 2016.

The goal of the program is to maintain or restore to the fullest extent possible a client’s ability to remain in their home and community for as long as physically possible, thereby preventing admission into a nursing home.

The Hyundai Tournament of Champions has announced that the 2015 event has raised $341,000 for Maui charities. The tournament and host organizations have donated a grand total of over $5.3 million to Maui community charities since its move to Maui in 1999.

The locally owned, Caregivers Maui, has a physical office located on Main Street in Wailuku, but provides private home care services to clients of all ages, that is customized based on patient need.

Under the partnership, a portion of each ʻOhana Fuels gasoline purchase on the island of Maui will be donated to Hale Makua through Dec. 31, 2013.

The session runs from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, at the Hale Mahaolu Elima Community room in Kahului.
