Haleakalā Regulations Enforced During Government Shutdown

Haleakalā Entrance Fees To Increase June 1
On June 1, 2018, changes to entrance fees at Haleakalā National Park go into effect with the cost of a Tri-Park Annual Pass going from the current $30 to $50.
Free Entry to Haleakalā National Park on Veteran’s Day Weekend
Haleakalā National Park will waive entrance fees for all park visitors on November 11 and 12, 2017, in commemoration of Veterans and the Veteran’s Day holiday.
Haleakalā Visitor Center to Re-open at Sunrise on March 19
The Haleakalā Visitor Center, located at the 9,741 foot elevation on the crater rim, will re-open at sunrise on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Haleakalā Park Entrance Fees More Than Double
The per-person fee will increase from the current $5 rate to $12 in 2017 (in two-to-three dollar increments per year); the motorcycle fee will go from the current $5 fee to $20 in 2017 with annual increases of $5 per year; the per-vehicle pass will also undergo $5 annual increases from the current $10 fee to $25 in 2017.
