Flood Advisory for East Maui Until 10:45 a.m.

In East Maui, we have reports of heavy rain this morning in the area of Hāna Farms near mile marker 32 near the Hāna Airport.

Stranded individuals tell us they were stuck overnight on the Piilani Highway in East Maui where two rivers flooded and washed out a section of the road.

Maui Flood Warning Lifted: 3 Inches of Rain in Hamoa

At 3 a.m., the flash flood warning expired for Maui. It had been extended beyond midnight after forecasters observed moderate rain continuing to fall over parts of East Maui.

Maui, Kauai, to Benefit from $17M in Federal Storm Relief

A $17 million federal grant will help the state repair roads and highways damaged by heavy rain, floods, and landslides on Maui and Kauai in late February and early March last year.
