Visitor spending on Maui in April 2023 was up 36% from pre-pandemic 2019

Visitor spending was $544.8 million in April 2023, compared to $496.7 million in April 2022 (+9.7%) and $398.6 million (+36.7%) in April 2019.

Hawai‘i Passenger Arrivals By Air Top 1500 on Monday

On Monday, June 1, 1,538 people arrived in Hawaiʻi, according to new data released by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and compiled by data collected by the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation’s new Mandatory Travel Declaration Form.  

Maui Air Arrivals Slow to 81: 28 Residents, 10 Visitors and 43 Crew Members

On Saturday, 1,207 people arrived in Hawaiʻi on the third day of the state’s 14-day mandatory self-quarantine for all incoming passengers, according to information compiled by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority.  Maui had a total of 81 passengers arriving on the Valley Isle, including 43 crew members, 28 residents and 10 visitors, according to new numbers compiled by the HTA.

Hawaii Visitor Arrivals Down 87% to 4,131 on Tuesday from 32,330 on the Same Day in 2019

The percentage drop of arriving passengers is down 87 percent from the same period last year (4,131 arriving passengers as of 3-24-20 compared to 32,330 on the same day in 2019).
