Hawai‘i’s Eviction Moratorium to End on Aug. 6, 2021

Governor David Ige provided formal notification today that the eviction moratorium in Hawaiʻi will end when it expires on Aug. 6, 2021. The eviction moratorium has been in place since April 17, 2020.

Sugimura Resolution Urges Governor to Extend Eviction Moratorium Into 2021

Councilmember Yuki Lei Sugimura introduced a resolution urging the governor to extend the eviction moratorium into 2021.  The item will be considered by the council at its meeting today.
