The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the Maui Showcase for the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) with six feature films, one short film, and a collection of four ‘Made in Hawai‘i’ short films. All screenings will take place in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater starting Saturday, Oct. 19 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 20.
First HIFF ‘Ōpio Fest celebrates Hawaiʻi student filmmakers this weekend
Fresh off its Spring Showcase, Hawai’i International Film Festival (HIFF) has invited 48 student short films to be presented at its first-ever ‘Ōpio Fest. The students represent 33 different schools from O’ahu, Kaua’i, Maui, Lana’i, Big Island—and two from Alaska.
