#Hawaii Grants

The Hawaiʻi Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission is offering a new round of grants through the Carbon Smart Land Program to support regenerative land management across the state.

The Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture (HDOA) has awarded grants for community-based management of coconut rhinoceros beetles (CRB) on O‘ahu, and to support green waste management on the islands of Kaua‘i, Maui, and O‘ahu. Awards for the two grant programs totaled about $293,000.

The Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture will be awarding a total of approximately $523,000 to Hawai‘i proposals that enhance the competitiveness of Hawai‘i specialty crops.

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) yesterday announced the release of grant solicitations totaling $6.87 million intended for non-profits that serve the Native Hawaiian community. Training for the application process takes place in person in Wailuku tonight starting at 5:30 p.m.

The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation awarded over $2 million in grants to support coral restoration in the US Pacific Islands, including Hawaiʻi, American Sāmoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam.

A total of 26 companies in Hawaiʻi have been awarded nearly $1 million in grants through Hawai’i Technology Development Corporationʻs Manufacturing Assistance Program.

Lanakila Pacific, a nonprofit known for its “Meals on Wheels” program, will receive a $1.5 million grant from FEMA.

The Salvation Army Family Treatment Services is the recipient of a $148,755 Office of Hawaiian Affairs Community Grant to support the Native Hawaiian community.

Hawaiʻi Energy awarded over $1,000,000 in funding to 251 nonprofits and small businesses in Oʻahu, Maui and Hawaiʻi counties, through its Energy Relief Grant program. 31 businesses in Maui County were awarded up to $25,000 grants.
