Job Search Requirement to be Reinstated for Unemployment Recipients
Hawai‘i residents currently receiving unemployment insurance benefits will again be required to prove they are searching for work. Gov. David Ige and the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations announced the job search requirement that was suspended during the pandemic, will be reinstated starting May 30, 2021.

Maui County hosts its first dynamic job fair event featuring virtual meetings at its “LIVE” virtual job fair and an in-person drive-thru job fair at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College on Tuesday, April 20. Job seekers and students will need to explore the entire schedule and decide if they want to attend virtually or in-person and connect with employers directly.
