Schatz votes to protect foreign aid, save local public radio and TV
US Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i), lead Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, today voted against a bill that cuts $9 billion to foreign aid and public broadcasting.

‘Ulu‘ulu, Hawai‘i’s official state archive for moving images, is coordinating the digitization and description of 2,000 films and videotapes from the PBS Hawai‘i collection, a project expected to be completed by the end of the year.
