12 Maui Police Department sergeants promoted to rank of lieutenant
The Maui Police Department announced the promotion of 12 sergeants to the rank of lieutenant including: Jerry Barrera, Matthew Bigoss, Kyle Bishaw-Juario, Christina Bonacorsi, Jeffrey Calibuso, Nathaniel “Chinky” Hubbard, Erik Losvar, Kamuela Mawae, Jan Pontanilla, Gregg Rowe, Aaron Souza, and James Terry. All promotions are scheduled to take effect on Jan. 16, 2026.
Maui Officers Camp Out at Kahului Walmart For Cop on Top
The goal that the Maui group set this year is to raise $15,000 over the next three days. Officers climbed the scaffolding starting at 6 a.m. today, and will not return to the ground until the fundraising goals have been met, or until 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, which ever comes first.
