The USGS has again updated the magnitude of the quake at the Sea of Okhotsk. The revised magnitude is 7.7 Mwc. They also updated the time of the event to 4:50 p.m. HST instead of 5:09 HST. The location of the quake in respect to nearby cities was 100 miles ENE of Poronaysk, Russia; 224 miles NNE of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia; 278 miles SSE of Okha, Russia; and 1012 miles NNE of TOKYO, Japan. Again, based on historical data, there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.
