The bill repeals junior kindergarten programs at the end of the 2013-2014 school year, and requires students that enter kindergarten to be at least 5-years-old on July 31st beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

One bill seeks to repeal junior kindergarten programs; another proposes a fee collection for single-use checkout bags; and a separate measure proposes the establishment of a nine-member gambling commission to analyze of the social and economic costs and benefits of different forms of gambling in Hawaii.
