Kā‘anapali Classic features five different athletic conferences in top five after first round

The Tigers’ 17-under 267 leads two-time tournament winner Oklahoma (2015, 2019) and East Tennessee St. by one and two shots, respectively. The North Florida Ospreys (-11) are in fourth place. The defending champion Kansas Jayhawks and Ole Miss Rebels (-9) are tied for fifth.

Boise and Kansas Tied for First after First Round of 2021 Kā‘anapali Classic

Hugo Townsend of Boise State fired a 64 (-7), one stroke ahead of Loyola Maryland’s Brandon Berry (-6). Team Boise and Kansas both finished at 268 (-16) today after having solid rounds throughout their team. Team Colorado is three strokes off at 271 (-13).

New Maui Therapy Room to be Named in Honor of Roy Yamaguchi

A new Sensory Therapy Room in Imua’s new Early Childhood Development Center will be named in honor of Roy Yamaguchi, Roy’s Restaurants of Hawaiʻi, and the Roy’s Golf Classic Tournament, which raised $45,000 this year during the 17th Annual event.
