#Lahaina Plantation Days

Thousands of people came out to celebrate the 7th and final Lahaina Plantation Days, which recognized nine restaurants and food providers in its food contests.

For the sixth consecutive year, West Maui celebrates its plantation history with nostalgic food and festivities at the Lahaina Plantation Days event, this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25, 2014.

The three-day event celebrates West Maui’s plantation roots, and kicks off with an ‘Ohana Movie Night on Thursday, featuring the independent film “Picture Bride” on a giant outdoor screen. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The new arrivals were donated to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation by the Allen and Lenabelle Davis Foundation, and be publicly unveiled at next week’s Lahaina Plantation Days festival. The three day event runs from October 20-22 and celebrates Maui’s plantation roots.

The Lahaina Restoration Foundation presents the second annual Lahaina Plantation Days on October 22nd and 23rd at the old Pioneer Mill site on Lahainaluna Road.  The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, and 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
