Termination of Emergency Proclamation for Hurricane Lester
Hurricane Lester has cleared the Hawaiian Islands and all of the related surf and flood warnings and advisories have been lifted. As of 8 a.m. this morning, Acting Mayor Keith Regan issued a Termination of Emergency Proclamation.

Haleakalā National Park Partial Closure
As of 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016; the backcountry area of Haleakalā National Park reopened at the Summit. Visitors should expect rainy, wet and possibly windy conditions.
Coast Guard Continues to Monitor Hurricane Lester
There are no anticipated port closures at this time, however port closures are subject to change depending on the path of the storm.
DLNR Keeps Areas Closed in Anticipation of Hurricane Lester
Due to the uncertainty over the track of approaching Hurricane Lester, all Hawai‘i island, Maui, and O‘ahu State Park camping and lodging areas will be closed to overnight use beginning Friday, Sept. 2 and will remain closed — at minimum through Monday, Sept. 5
