Maui Charter Commission holding public meeting Feb. 3 on updated draft report

The Maui Charter Commission is holding a virtual public meeting Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. to hear public testimony about revisions to the draft report, which has 40 proposed amendments to the County Charter that are under consideration for the November 2022 ballot.

Maui Charter Commission To Consider Executive Branch Proposals & New Items

The Maui Charter Commission is nearing the end of its year-long review and will consider the eight remaining Executive Branch proposals and take up the final theme of “Miscellaneous and New Matters” during an online meeting Thursday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Maui Charter Commission continued its year-long evaluation of proposed charter amendments at a virtual meeting last week with the approval of four proposals under Theme G – Planning. The Commission’s next meeting Nov. 18 addresses the police and Executive Branch.

The Maui Charter Commission will receive testimony and discuss the remaining 10 proposed charter amendment under Theme G – Planning and also consider Theme H- Police at its next regular online meeting on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 9 am.

Evening Meeting Explores County Manager Form of Government
