Maui police released body worn camera footage and further details, regarding Thursday night’s deadly shooting in which a suspect was killed during an exchange of gunfire with police in Wailuku. Police have since identified the deceased as 40-year-old Kristopher Austin.

The complaint was filed in Second Circuit Court on March 20, 2018 on behalf of Kelly Pauole a 21-year veteran with the Maui Police Department.

As of Thursday, Oct. 15, both victims were in the care of the Queen’s Medical Center on Oʻahu where they are being treated for gunshot wounds. Police say one person remains in critical condition and the other in guarded condition.

Maui police today released a photo of the actual badge that Raymond Hodge used during a deadly shootout with police at Keōpūolani Park in Wailuku on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, and have since confirmed the item was a fake.

The deceased in the incident at Keōpūolani Park on Wednesday, Aug. 5,2015 has been identified as Raymond Hodge, a 39 year old male.
