Maui’s Kaiser Permanente physicians and staff members are painting the Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center in Wailuku in commemoration of today’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

Fresenius Medical Care announced in its second quarter 2012 earnings report that it is acquiring Liberty Dialysis Holdings, Inc., the holding company for Liberty Dialysis and the owner of the two kidney dialysis clinic on Maui and one on Molokai.

Kaiser Permanente’s Kihei and Lahaina Clinics, and their primary care providers, have received the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Physician Practice Connections (PPC) and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition at Level 3, the highest level, for its integrated and coordinated care delivery system.

The Bank of Hawaii Foundation announced today the three Maui County nonprofits will be receiving this year’s Mike Lyons Maui Community Award. The total donation was increased this year to $25,000.
