Refuse Routes Down in Lahaina, Haʻikū and Makawao
Due to a manpower shortage, a refuse route is down in the Lahaina area on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. At the same time, mechanical problems have affected refuse routes for the Haʻikū and Makawao areas as well.
Staff Shortage Results in Missed Refuse Collection in Haʻikū
The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that due to a staff shortage, a residential refuse collection route in the Haʻikū area was not picked up on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015.
Mechanical Problems Result in Missed Kula Refuse Service
Affected areas include: Haleakala Highway, Holomakani Drive, Holomakani Place, Kainana Place, Kamehameiki Road, Kekaulike Avenue, Kolohala Drive, Lower Kula Road, Naalae Road, Pulehuiki Road, Ululani Street, Wahealani Street, and all other surrounding streets and roads.
