Crews are searching for a missing hiker in the hills near Iao Valley.  Officials tell us that the search is not related to the Amanda Eller missing person case

The 18-year-old woman from North Carolina sustained lower back, leg injuries, scrapes and bruises during the fall from rocks in the valley.

The search for a missing hiker in ‘Iao Valley ended Wednesday evening when the missing man made it out safely on his own. Authorities say the search was launched at 7:05 p.m. by crews from the Maui Fire Department’s Engine 1 from Wailuku and Rescue 10 from Kahului.
