The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a special weather advisory for hot temperatures and high humidity for the islands this weekend.

Record high temperatures were recorded on two consecutive days in Kahului with Saturday’s 95 degree weather breaking an old record set 18 years ago, and Sunday’s 93 degree weather tying a record set 37 years ago, according to data compiled by the National Weather Service.
