The Hawaiʻi State Senate confirmed on Wednesday, Feb. 24 the appointment of Max Otani as Director of the Department of Public Safety through Dec. 5, 2022.
Gov. Ige Appoints Hyun as Special Master to Assess Public Safety
Hawai’i Gov. David Ige announced Tuesday the appointment of Edmund “Fred” Hyun as the Governor’s Special Master to assist in overseeing the State Department of Public Safety. Hyun is also responsible for the investigation of concerns raised by unions regarding the department’s COVID-19 response.
