Kaka’ako Land Deal with OHA Backed by Senate Panels
SB 2783 was introduced by Senate President Shan Tsutsui of Maui. It seeks to resolve all disputes and controversies relating to OHA’s portion of income and proceeds from the public trust lands for the period from November 7, 1978 through June 30, 2012. The item now goes to the Senate Judiciary committee for further consideration.
OHA Settlement Community Meeting on Maui, Dec. 2
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs will host a community meeting on Maui this Friday, December 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Maui Waena, to discuss the recently announced Ceded Lands Settlement Proposal.
