#paddle board rescue

The 30-year-old female from Oakland, CA, was making a downwind run from Maliko Bay with a male paddler from Makawao but fell behind. She called for help after losing sight of her partner and was having trouble finding their destination at Kaʻa Point.

Two standup paddle boarders were the first to get caught in the windy conditions. A female on a surfboard and a male equipped with a mask and snorkel attempted to help, but ended up being rescued as well.
