Crater service volunteers sought for Friends of Haleakalā service trip, Feb. 15-17
The Friends of Haleakalā National Park seeks National Park Service experienced hikers to volunteer for a strenuous three-night service trip in Haleakalā Crater, Feb. 15 to 17.
Palikū Wilderness Cabin Reservations to Open 7 Days Per Week Beginning Nov. 8
The Palikū wilderness cabin reservations will be available seven days per week on Recreation.gov beginning Nov. 8, 2021 between 7 and 7:30 a.m. Hawaiʻi Standard Time. Due to ongoing drought and water shortages, the remote Palikū wilderness cabin reservations were temporarily limited to Friday-Sunday only.
