Today is Primary Election Day across the state of Hawaiʻi. The election runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024.

Kula Community Association Hosts Candidate Forum

The Kula Community Association sponsors a primary election candidate forum on Wednesday, May 18th from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Kula Community Center.

Arakawa to Face Paltin in Maui Mayor’s Race

Arakawa held a commanding lead throughout the night with 17,492 votes (63.6%), ahead of Paltin, who garnered 3,331 votes (12.1%). The two face each other in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Primary Election Results – FINAL Printout

The closest race of the night was for US Senate, which remains undecided due to the outstanding votes from two polling places on Hawaiʻi Island that were unable to open because of the aftermath of Hurricane Iselle.

Election Day Tips and Reminders for Hawaiʻi Voters

The state Office of Elections issued a reminder today to assist voters as they make their way to the polls on Saturday, August 9, for the primary election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. Anyone in line at 6 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Walk-in Absentee Voting Begins July 30

Walk-in Absentee voting for the upcoming Primary Election will begin on Monday, July 30, and continue through Thursday, August 9, 2012.
