Kōkua Hāna Donation Drive Held in Support of COVID Response in East Maui

An uptick in COVID-19 cases and the number of quarantined households created an urgent need for personal protection items and household items for East Maui residents who face limited availability of goods in the remote East Maui community.  

Collection Drive to Support Hāna COVID Response, Aug. 28 in Kahului

To assist with an increase in COVID-19 cases in Hāna, a donation drive for items to help Hāna residents with personal protective items and support families in quarantine will take place on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kahului Shopping Center in the parking lot near Burger King.

Japanese Cultural Society of Maui to Honor 10 with Resilience Award

The awardees were selected for going above and beyond their own capacity to give back to the community, and for being an inspiration during these trying times of the pandemic.
