Fourth of July fireworks display in Lahaina starts at 8 p.m.

Tonight’s public fireworks display in Lahaina begins at approximately 8 p.m., with fireworks to be launched from an offshore barge along Front Street.

There are two public aerial displays planned this year–one on July 2 as part of the 26th Annual Lānaʻi Pineapple Festival, and the other on July 4, as part of the Lahaina Fourth of July Fireworks celebration.

Maui New Year’s Eve Fireworks Reminders, Lone Public Aerial Display on Lānaʻi

Fireworks can only be legally set off from 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve to 1 a.m. New Year’s Day. The import, transfer, sale, or use of aerial fireworks without a permit is a Class C Felony.

Maui Fireworks Festivities: Dry Weather Cause for Concern

There are 3 public fireworks displays planned at midnight in Maui County, to ring in the New Year. Although there have been recent heavy rains, this past year has been very dry, so the threat of wildfires is still a major concern.
