House Bill No. 2329 allocates $150,000 to establish a one-year pilot program to reduce the population of rose-ringed parakeets on the Garden Isle.

A public hearing to receive testimony on the proposed bill to adopt the West Maui Community Plan — the first comprehensive update to the plan in 25 years, will be held virtually on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.

The location has changed for a Maui Planning Commission public hearing set for July 28, 2020. The public hearing will take place only via the BlueJeans videoconferencing platform from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
