The US Supreme Court today issued a ruling on the Lahaina injection well case which requires the federal government to regulate groundwater pollutants that find their way into navigable waters, such as oceans.  The case focused on discharge from the Lahaina Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

State Representative Angus McKelvey, who represents District 10 that includes West Maui, Māʻalaea, and North Kīhei, pleaded no contest today in district court for failing to file a complete and accurate candidate committee report and allowing an unauthorized person to receive and disperse campaign funds.

The sessions End of Session Wrap Up and Talk Story events are scheduled on Monday, May 12, at the Kīhei Charter School campus on Līpoa Street; and Tuesday, May 13, at the West Maui Senior Center.
