Coral Spawning Night at Maui Ocean Center, July 18, 2023

Maui Ocean Center will host its annual Coral Spawning Night from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, allowing guests the chance to witness the phenomenon of coral spawning.

UH: Student research improves Hawaiʻi coral restoration efforts

A study led by University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa student researchers revealed that exposing rice coral larvae to warmer temperatures did not improve survival once the coral developed into juveniles and were exposed to heat stress.
