MACC hosts Rosy Simas Danse Workshop and local dancer auditions prior to the company’s March performance
In connection with the upcoming Rosy Simas Danse performance in the MACC’s Castle Theater on March 21, 2024, the company is looking for five local dancers to perform with them in the new work, “she who lives on the road to war.”
Dance Performance to Highlight ‘Interdependent Nature of Our World’
Drawn from the “interwoven and interdependent nature of our world,” the performance will feature local dancers using their own “physical language” to explore individual and embodied stories.
Portrait Challenge Award Reception; Dance Performance at The MACC
Attendees of the Marian Freeman People’s Choice Award presentation will have the opportunity to congratulate the winner in person at a reception at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Schaefer International Gallery on Sunday, March 15, at 5 p.m. In the Castle Theater on Thursday, March 19, The MACC will present “Rosy Simas Danse – We Wait in Darkness” beginning at 7:30 p.m.
