Maui County unemployment rate drops to 3.9% for August 2022
Data from the Hawai‘i State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism showed Maui County’s unemployment rate for August 2022 was 3.9%, down from 4.2% the previous month and 6.7% a year ago.
Maui County’s unemployment dips slightly to 4.8% but higher than US rate of 4.1%
The unemployment rate for Maui County dropped to 4.8% for February 2022, which is .1% lower than the rate in January but higher than the US rate of 4.1%, according to the Hawai‘i State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism.
Hawaiʻi Unemployment Rate Drops Slightly to 9% for March 2021, But Higher Than National Rate of 6%
The state of Hawaiʻi’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for March 2021 was 9 percent compared to 9.2 percent in February, with 590,800 people employed and 58,750 unemployed in March for a total seasonally adjusted labor force of 649,550, according to the Hawai‘i State Department of Labor & Industrial Relations.
Maui Island Unemployment Rate 2.3% in August
The unemployment rate for the island of Maui was 2.3% in August, according to the Hawaiʻi Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. While the islandʻs unemployment rate for August decreased slightly from 2.4% the month before, the rate increased from 2.2% a year ago.
