Maui police have launched a sexual assault investigation into reports of a man exposing himself and masturbating in a vehicle in Pukalani over the weekend.

Services include initial disclosure and forensic interviews with detectives, forensic examination, ongoing clinical therapy, hotlines, crisis intervention, treatment services, in-service training, and prevention and education services.

A Pāʻia man indicted earlier this year for the alleged sex assault of a minor under the age of 14 was located in Thailand and extradited back to Maui today, where he is being held without bail.

The suit alleges gross negligence claiming that instead of terminating an employee following allegations of child sex abuse more than 50 years ago, the organization allegedly transferred the individual and utilized his services on Maui.
