In honor of National Trauma Awareness Month, Maui Health is proud to announce that Maui Memorial Medical Center has been verified as an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level III Trauma Center.
Maui Health names new administrator for Critical Access Hospitals
Maui Health announced the selection of Penny Koval, MSN RN, NHA, as the health system’s new Administrator of Critical Access Hospitals. The appointment took effect on Nov. 1, 2024. As CAH Administrator, Koval oversees all hospital and long-term care operations for both Kula Hospital and Lānaʻi Community Hospital.
Maui Hospital Initiates Effort to Obtain Level II Trauma Center Status
Maui Health today announced it has initiated efforts to gain verification as an American College of Surgeons Level II Trauma Center. The ACS Level II status is the highest ranking for a community hospital, and if granted, would make the Maui facility only the second Level II Trauma Center in the state.
