Pollution-Prevention Evaluations Underway for Central Maui Businesses
Site evaluations of business facilities in Central Maui are being conducted by the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation’s Highways Division – Maui District (HWY-M) in an effort to protect Maui’s stormwater and coastal environment from pollution.
New Maui Rain Garden to Promote Pollution Prevention, Driver Safety
The project funnels rainwater from HWY-M’s office rooftop to nourish a garden planted with native foliage, and will be used to support the state Highway Division’s ongoing efforts to safeguard Maui’s environment and promote highway safety.

Boil Water Advisory LIFTED, Water Conservation Continues
Effective 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, the County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) has cancelled the boil water advisory for Paia, Spreckelsville, Puunene, Kihei, Wailea, Makena and Maalaea and most Central Maui water customers.
