Work Begins on 20 Temporary Emergency Shelters at Waiale Park in Wailuku

The County of Maui begins construction tomorrow, May 22 on an estimated 20 temporary emergency shelters at Waiale Park in Wailuku for displaced families and individuals impacted by COVID-19.  The park is located between Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center and the Hale Makana O Waiale apartments.

Waiale Park Playground Replacement Begins

The Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will begin construction to demolish and replace the existing playground equipment at Waiale Park on March 30th.

Ask the Mayor: When Will the Park on Waiale Drive Reopen?

The county took over maintenance of the park about a year ago, but the gates continue to be locked.

Approvals sought for 65 Acre Central Maui Park

The 65-acre park would be part of the 2550-unit master planned Waiale community, proposed for development along the Kuihelani Highway.
