Hawaiian Music Series marks meaningful return to Lahaina with 200+ attendees
More than 200 people gathered on the lawn of Waiola Church on Waine‘e Street to welcome the cherished Hawaiian Music Series back to its home in Lahaina on Thursday. Organizers say the concert became more than a music show — it was a moving evening of music, community, healing, and hope.
Waiola Church Honored with Resolution Marking 190th Anniversary
The church was established in 1823 as a temporary structure built at Keawaiki, near the site of the present-day Lahaina Public Library. Final reconstruction of Waineʻe Church was completed on April 26, 1953, and the building has remained in tact until today.
