#WNW swell

Large swell to peak today at 30 feet

The National Weather Service says a large west-northwest swell building down the island chain will peak today, then slowly ease tonight through Monday.

Manageable Swells; Maui Surfer Wins Punt of the Year

A decent size 6-10 foot northwest swell is hitting the islands making the surf a little more manageable for the average surfer. Meanwhile, Albee Layer of Maui wins $10K for his world record-breaking 540 degree air.

30 Foot Swell for Friday

A massive 18-30ft+ WNW swell is about to blast the islands with more on the way.

Windy Trades Produce East Swell, Friday Forecast

Windy conditions prevail as strong trade winds in the 15-30+ mph range also produce east swell for Maui.

Windy Conditions and Pipeline Barrels

This weekend’s WNW swell didn’t materialize on Maui like it did for the North Shore of Oahu and just in time for day 1 of the Pipeline Masters event on Saturday.

Small Waves, Weekend Swell on the Way

Take a look out at the north shore and you can see there isn’t very much happening in terms of riding waves. Maybe Mother Nature is taking a break from pumping out swell after swell, which made the month of November one to remember.
