PHOTOS: Boat Breaks Loose From Mooring, Fire Breaks Out

A fire was quickly extinguished aboard a vessel this morning that reportedly broke loose from its mooring in West Maui.

Witnesses observed smoke coming from the Pacific Maid vessel at around 8:15 a.m.

The boat was located along the shoreline, just south of the Lahaina Post Office.

We are awaiting additional information from the Maui Fire Department.
