Surf is expected to reach 12 to 18 feet along north facing shores.

A High Surf Advisory means large, potentially hazardous surf will affect beaches in the advisory area and produce strong rip currents.

Beach-goers are urged to stay out of the water and away from the shore break due to dangerous wave action and deadly rip currents.
