Maui police released photos today of a man sought in connection with an attempted murder investigation reported in Kahului over the weekend.
Police say Edward Riley Martin, 55, has not been apprehended and is considered dangerous. Police describe Martin as 5’9″ tall, weighing 255 pounds, bald, with brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left forearm of an unknown animal.
The search stems from a Sunday morning incident in which another man was transported to the hospital after sustaining lacerations in a fight fronting a home on Molokaʻi ʻĀkau Street.
According to police, it was reported that two adult males were involved in a fight in which a pellet was shot with a pellet gun.
The incident was reported at 5:42 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.
Police say they are looking for Martin and are investigating the case as an attempted murder in the second degree.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Martin is asked to call 911.
