Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are double overhead with the best spots up to triple overhead. This swell is fading but a new swell fills in building wave heights back up to double/triple overhead by sunset.
West: Wrap from the west-northwest swell fills in today. Spots with northern exposure could get up to double overhead or more.
South: Wave heights are waist high or less today out of the south-southwest. Many spots will be flat.
Our current west-northwest swell has prompted an extension to the High Surf Advisory for north and west facing shores of most islands. The swell is expected to peak early Tuesday morning before fading. A northwest reinforcement is expected late Tuesday with most of the energy coming through Tuesday night.
Not much expected out of the SPAC the next few days. A possible small swell could fill in starting February 8th.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
