    Looking Ahead

Light and variable winds are forecast for the next week. They are expected to be light enough to allow afternoon sea breezes to develop and produce clouds and showers over interior spots. Land breezes will produce partial clearing at night. A disturbance high in the atmosphere will linger west of Kauai through the weekend. Showers will become more active across the state, along with another bout of wintry weather on the Big Island Summits as the trough deepens starting Wednesday evening.

    Today

Mostly sunny in the morning and becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon today with scattered morning showers and numerous afternoon showers. High temperatures from 79° to 85° but feeling warmer due to the elevated heat index. Light and variable winds up to 15 mph.

UV index at 6 (“high” exposure level)

    Tonight

Variable winds up to 15 mph. Scattered showers in the evening and clearing as the night goes on. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°.
