Looking Ahead
A dissipating frontal band will continue it’s slow slide down the island chain and over to the Big Island through Friday. Clouds and light showers are forecast for windward areas. Behind the front, cool and dry northerly winds will fill in bringing more chilly days for the state. An increase in windward showers is expected Friday night and Saturday as another front moves over the islands. Light and variable winds, mostly dry and somewhat warmer conditions are expected for much of next week, but volcanic haze from the Big Island could spread to the smaller islands during that time.
