Summit District of Haleakala National Park Reopens

The Summit District of Haleakalā National Park is reopened for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the area. The Summit District closed for 6 days after a severe winter storm left snow and ice on the Summit District roads, as well as fallen trees and loose rocks. Warm temperatures have melted much of the snow and ice making the roads safe to travel.
