Aloha For Japan Generates $8 Million

The statewide Aloha For Japan campaign formally ended this month, with a total of $8 million raised through partner charities over a six month span.

Japan Families Arrive on Maui for Respite Stay

Forty-five Japanese citizens arrived on Maui yesterday as part of The Aloha Initiative program. The program offers families from Japan respite care in Hawaii following the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Hawaii fundraising efforts continue, 2 months after the Japan quake, with donations reaching $6 million.

HMSA Gives $82,995 to Aloha for Japan

Today, Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) announced it has made a total donation of $82,995 to Aloha for Japan to support recovery from the earthquake and tsunami last month.
