Hawaiʻi Organics Compost now selling locally made soil products

Hawaiʻi Organics Compost has begun selling locally produced compost, active mulch and custom blends from its Waikapū facility — completing a loop that starts with green waste dropped off across Central Maui and ends with finished soil products ready to go back into the ground.

EPA grants $2.2 million to Hawaiʻi to expand recycling in Hilo, study waste management of neighbor islands

The US Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday it has awarded $2.2 million in grants to Hawaiʻi for a recycling project in Hilo and a study of waste management across several islands.
