The Hawaii State Senate convenes today to vote on the appointment of Judge Richard W. Pollack to the State Supreme Court and Peter T. Cahill to the Maui Circuit Court.

Just hours after announcing his selection of Peter T. Cahill as a judicial nomination to the Second Circuit Court on Maui, Governor Neil Abercrombie was informed that the appointment was made two days late.

The proposed acquisition of 63.7 acres of coastal wetlands in Paukukalo resurfaces again before the Council’s Budget and Finance Committee this week. The county is considering the acquisition of the property for an estimated $996,000.
